Agara Sugar Company Resumes Full-Scale Operation after 6-month Break.

Today Levan Kalandadze, Deputy Business Ombudsman of Georgia, and Savash Uzan, head of Agara Sugar Company supervisory board, attended the solemn ceremony dedicated to resumption of full-scale operation at the plant. The guests delivered speech for the the plant employees.

 «Today we have a very important event for Agar Sugar Company and in general, for the settlement of Agara. For many months the plant had suspended operation and today it resumed full-scale operation. This is a good sample of how government's economic team and  the Business Ombudsman's office, thanks to negotiations with investors, have enabled the plant to resume full-scale operation and provide stable environment for business and stable monthly incomes to about 500 local employees», Levan Kalandadze said.

Today, well-deserved employees of the plant were also awarded.

We remind you that on November 1, 2017 Agar Sugar Company suspended operation and moved to the regime of conservation. With the engagement of the Business Ombudsman's office, Government of Georgia and Agara Sugar Compmany founders conducted negotiations and the Parties agreed to prepare Agara Sugar company support package. As a result, the plant resumed full-scale operation on June 1.
