Business Ombudsman of Georgia Irakli Lekvinadze has met with Damien Shiels, the new manager for International Finance Corporation (IFC) for Eastern Europe and Latin Countries.
The parties discussed agreed the future cooperation format and to share international experience, bolster active involvement of the Business Ombudsman in international formats and opportunities for implementing joint projects for small business support.
Special regard was paid to the World Bank support to the Business Ombudsman’s activity and the Ombudsman’s institutional enhancement on both domestic and international levels.
They also discussed working process on electronic portal that is being prepared by International Finance Corporation. The portal will come into force in the near future.
The portal will ensure turnover of documents. Moreover, various analytical information items will be prepared in electronic format and this will ensure transparency of economic effect received as a result of the Business Ombudsman’s activity.
