«We will continue meetings in regions. Today we have met with entrepreneurs in Adjara. Regional meetings and collection of information about challenges before the local business is of crucial importance. We have offered our support to businessmen. We had very interesting interactive meeting. Entrepreneurs have talked about problems in business doing process. The businessmen made focus on agriculture sector and issues that local self-governments should resolve faster. We have talked about taxation and property issues. At the same time, limited access to finance resources create real problems in all regions, including in Adjara. There are a lot of business ideas and projects. I believe that the existing programs will expand access to financial resources for small and medium business sectors and this factor will further activate local business.
We have discussed a wide circle of issues. We have answered and reacted to a part of issues today, while we will continue working on another part of issues», Irakli Lekvinadze said.
Objective of the Business Ombudsman's meetings in regions is to further activate the Business Ombudsman's communication with the private sector in regions and identify specific challenges in business doing process.
The meetings are being held with the support of International Finance Corporation (IFC) as part of memorandum signed by Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Georgia and the Business Ombudsman's Office of Georgia.
