Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between National Statistics Office of Georgia and Business Ombudsman of Georgia

A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between National Statistics Office of Georgia and Business Ombudsman of Georgia. The bilateral document was signed by Mr. Gogita Todradze, Executive Director of Geostat and Mr. Irakli Lekvinadze, Business Ombudsman of Georgia and agreed on future cooperation.

According to Mr. Gogita Todradze, Executive Director of Geostat, such kind of cooperation will support the relations between Geostat and the business sector, as it is important for the National Statistics Office - to collect the statistical data necessary for the production of official statistics and for the business sector as well, to meet the existing needs on statistical information.

“The high quality statistical information is needed for better planning of business activities. Within the framework of the Memorandum we will support the establishment of effective communication between statistical office and private sector in order to improve the quality of statistical information in this direction. The meetings, involving business associations, will be held with particular periodicity and will further develop the cooperation between the parties” – stated Mr. Irakli Lekvinadze.
