According to the statistics, in the first 9 months of 2019, the Office of The Business Ombudsman of Georgia has received 249 referrals, and based on these referrals the office has send 137 official letters (76 solicitations, 31 recommendations & 30 legal conclusions) to the administrative bodies to support the business. As a result position of Business Ombudsman was fully or partly considered by 65% among completed cases.
According to the statistics published by the Office, most often companies apply to the Business Ombudsman with a request of solicitation to the Ministry of Finance of Georgia and its various agencies. Most companies are small and medium-sized businesses and the main part of the application is related to tax administration issues.
50% of referrals (130 applications) are received from manufacturing, services & retail, and wholesale trade sectors
